DMCA Policy Overview

Taplup respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We will respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the DMCA.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe content on our website infringes your copyright, submit a notice including:

  • Your full legal name and contact information (address, phone, email)
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
  • The URL(s) of the infringing content on our website
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  • Your physical or electronic signature

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification including:

  • Your full legal name and contact information
  • Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake
  • Your consent to the jurisdiction of federal court in your district
  • Your physical or electronic signature

DMCA Agent

All DMCA notices and counter-notifications should be sent to our designated DMCA agent via our Contact page. Email: the email address listed on our Contact page. Please include "DMCA Notice" or "DMCA Counter-Notification" in the subject line.

Processing Timeline

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice: within 24 hours we acknowledge receipt, within 48 hours we review the claim, within 72 hours infringing content is removed or disabled. Counter-notifications are processed within 10-14 business days per DMCA requirements.

Repeat Infringers

We maintain a policy of terminating access for repeat infringers. Users who repeatedly post infringing content will have their access restricted.

Good Faith

Please note that misrepresentation of infringing material may result in liability for damages including costs and attorneys' fees. Consider whether fair use applies before submitting a notice.
